If you know nothing about the 80's that's the movie. And also great for New-York of course. No need to introduce you to Susan (aka Madonna in her best role -herself or not far-):

God knows how much I dreamt of that hatbox. I did mine with a sort of DIY black cardboard mini lunchbox with airbrushed golden skull stencil. I dragged it around to death. I'm still impressed how light Susan is travelling. That must have been New-York in Summer time and loads of cash hidden in these multiple pockets.

Susan in one of the first scenes of the movie hanging around in a hotel of Atlantic city living life in the fast lane. I love Susan Seidelman's taste for tiny details. Susan laying among the shuffled cards taking an ego trip is just iCandy.

Susan's idea of having a shower

A better view of the hatbox. I like the funny woman in curlers. It can only be in NY though I've never been there so I believe this is the sort of casual crazyness you may come across

At Susan's sister's flat. This pink candy-covered phone is a Chef d'Oeuvre

Coveting the sequined Disco boots. I can only agree with her but not sure I'd use the same technique to get them. Oh yeah she was not really to steal them but eventually that green jacket who 'belonged to Jimmy Hendrix' comes in useful...

Just found below a rip off of the boots I bought today only mine look better ;)

www.promod.fr
They rip two details, the two buckles and the arrow on the side. The ones I got are from a brand called 'Marc', (a German brand quite expensive actually) retail priced at £150, got them for a third of the price at TK Maxx. For some time I was looking for riding boots to give some relief to my back as I wear high heels almost everyday. I'm not sure yet what these boots will get with but I guess it's a classic. I also found out last week that German shoe sizes are one down which means although tagged size 4, they're perfectly fit. Some ideas found here and there:

While tidying the bedroom, I found back my orange boots! I also gave a massive bag to charity today. Feels good and bad. Good physically but dreadful emotionally. After tidying I felt so so low. But apparently it's normal. I want to reduce up to 50% of stuff I have. Giving away is a bit like surrendering letting go and it's the tough part of de-cluttering. So much money wasted I'd love to have right now. But no guilt here, I just need to be more responsible when I buy stuff. I like nearly 100% of my clothes so it's hard to part with stuff. I'm not in the situation where I have stuff that I never wear. Not really. That's why it's even harder. My stuff match. My stuff is fitting and in good condition. When I buy new clothes I try to give away what's so-so, get rid of my mistakes (there still are some) or clothes showing signs of wear.
I have seen a beautiful pair of boots that really tempt me though the price is a bit out of my range:

But lord they are so stunning....

So to catch up, the TS boots are TOO high. They didn't look that high on the pic. I'm torn between selling them back on EB or trying to convince my cobbler to perform some skilled surgery on them (and pay an awful lot of money for it). :(

I have huge restrictions this month and had to do additional hours to try to get a decent pay. I still sneak out though. Today I found:
- An exquisite pair of jeans at P. for £6. They're totally decent. Straight cut in a dark denim that should dye off nicely.
- A wallpaper like vest with little heart buttons on the collar bone
- A pair of Jackie O. glasses with zizzagish side pieces. Couldn't find the Egyptian like bracelet though. God bless P. Total spent: £11
Last week I went to G. for my optician appointment. I found these at SD:

They also have very cute lipbalms and mascara in an alu tube. Every item is £5 however you get for what you pay: Rubbish
The face cream is a kind of glittering purplinkish paste and the make up box is the worst quality eyeshadow lipgloss I have ever come across. All for the sake of the packaging...

After a long trial, I have made my choice regarding minerals. Here are the brands I have tested:
Earthnicity: Nice one and cheap but now I have a doubt about the colour I picked
Returnallhealth: Cheap as well, kind of okay
Everydayminerals: Really good stuff and cheap because of the weak dollar however their website is a pain in the arse to use and the shipping is very very slow
Pure Luxe: My favourite so far, warm cream is perfect, they also have incredibly crazy eyeshadows. Super cheap and rather fast

Next month I would like:

Converse has resurfaced with strength since last year and they're fairly cool shoes. I used to hate them because they sum up the archetype of the idiotic student who thinks he's the coolest piece of shit on earth (my apologies to students they're not all like that thank god). Now they REALLY suit me, that'd be stupid too to stop myself with this prejudice. Price of these 'lo': £33

A small order at Everydayminerals too:
Original Glo in Golden Light

Blush in Summer Stroll

Lipgloss in Copper
